There are 3 options for managing
the content of your website:
1 - Let SGP Web
Design make updates on your behalf
For a small fee we will make
changes & updates to your web site. This
is often the simplest & easiest solution
for small businesses & individuals whose
site does not change a great deal, and who do
not want to pay for a database driven content
management system.
2 - Custom Built
Content Management System
Your site can be built with
a database driven, content management system,
allowing you to log in and change the text,
images, product prices on your site etc.. This
system is recommended for ecommerce sites and
business sites that require regular changes
& updates. A database driven content management
system will increase website development costs.
3 - Adobe Contribute
Adobe Contribute
is the easiest way for individuals and teams
to update, create, and publish web content to
any HTML website. Contribute allows non-technical
users to update web content. If you are familiar
with a word processor package such as 'Word'
you will be able to use Contribute.
So
easy that anyone can use it
Thanks to the straightforward and extensively
tested user interface, new users can immediately
update text and images, publish new content
and create and link new pages and documents
to any existing HTML website. Step-by-step instructions
for common tasks are always available as needed
in the unobtrusive ‘How Do I…’ panel. And the
optional new PayPal Merchant Tools let any small
business owner accept credit cards online before
you can say ‘e-commerce’ by simply adding a
payment button to their pages – no setup or
monthly fees required.
Works
with your favourite software
With Adobe Contribute, you can quickly link
any document to your website and edit it later,
including those created in Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint. And because Contribute maintains
text formatting while preserving HTML code standards,
importing content directly from Word and Excel
into your web pages is a snap. Documents can
easily be converted to the web standard PDF
(Adobe Acrobat) or 'Flash Paper' and uploaded
to your site.
Adobe Contribute
ensures that new content not only matches the
look and feel of your site, but also meets standards
for cross-browser compatibility. In addition,
optional accessibility settings help make sure
your site complies with Section 508 so that
people with disabilities can have full access
to your content.
